Public records, made useful

About the data

Who Represents Me? makes it easier to identify North Carolina’s current elected officials. It is an independent civic-information project, not a government agency or an official election service.

Where records come from

Officials, offices, terms, organizations, and contact details are assembled from official state and local government rosters, agency websites, election records, meeting or appointment notices, and the sources cited by NC Civic Data.

Election and voter-derived public records come primarily from the North Carolina State Board of Elections.

How pages stay current

Place pages include a crawlable roster snapshot and refresh from the NC Civic Data API when opened. Each page reports when its data was most recently checked. Sitemap modification dates change only when meaningful page content changes.

Contact information

The public directory shows official public phone numbers, email addresses, websites, and office addresses when available. Campaign contacts remain limited to Pro accounts in NC Civic Data, and private information remains limited to the site administrator.

Address privacy

The address lookup uses an entered address only to identify relevant jurisdictions and districts. It does not display the identity of a matched voter on this site.

Corrections and source questions

Public rosters change and source sites sometimes lag behind appointments, resignations, or vacancies. Open a person or organization in NC Civic Data to review its cited sources. Signed-in users can submit a correction from the relevant record page.
